M-PESA transaction fees are tiered, meaning the fee depends on the amount of money you are transacting and the type of transaction you are performing.
Sending Money
When you send money to another registered M-PESA user (or users on other mobile money networks in Kenya), Safaricom charges a sending fee. Notably, sending amounts of KSh 100 or less is completely free.
Withdrawing from an Agent
Withdrawal fees are generally higher than sending fees because a portion of the fee goes to compensate the M-PESA agent processing the transaction. The minimum amount you can withdraw from an agent is KSh 50.
